About Women & Wine on Wednesdays

Women & Wine on Wednesdays founders voted "People to Watch 2007" by New Orleans Magazine. Click here to read the article.

A small group of women decided that they wanted a networking group of other women, in a relaxed atmosphere. Combining the love of fine wine with this mission, Women & Wine on Wednesdays was born.

Meetings are held each month on the third Wednesday. There are no dues or fees to participate and you don't even have to buy a drink.

About "Women Bingo"

Each attendee is greeted at the door and given a 5" x 7" envelope with a pen. On the envelope front are 16 questions a la bingo style, but instead of boxes with numbers, there are boxes with different questions and a place for names on each box. Attendees ask each other questions, then jot the answers and names down in each of the boxes. The incentive of the bingo prize provides a polite and enthusiastic way of excusing oneself and gracefully interrupting others. Business card are exchanged and collected in the envelope. The first one to complete the Women Bingo card with 16 names shouts "BINGO!" the winner is presented with a prize, usually a bottle of the featured wine or a gift certificate.
