Women & Wine on Wednesdays was created by Linda Brewster Meffert in early 2005 in New Orleans, Louisiana, as a way for women to improve lifestyle balance by re-connecting with friends, making new acquaintances, and being open to develop new ideas and relationships.

Christy Hackenberg and Gaby Tillero created the branding for the concept, after mutual friend, Sandra Lombana introduced them to Linda Meffert. The four women founded the New Orleans location in 2005.

Over the years, many women in many cities have come to enjoy this same opportunity made available by the expansion of Women & Wine on Wednesdays into cities around the country.

Theresa Morgan and Pawn Kongkosonkichkan

Pawn Kongkosonkichkan is the founder of The Woodlands' Women & Wine on Wednesday chapter.  She has been a resident of The Woodlands since November 2003.  A Native of Southern California and a past resident of Atlanta, Georgia, Pawn chose to live in The Woodlands because of the gorgeous landscape, serenity and because the community was friendly and welcoming.   “There are incredibly generous and great people in The Woodlands and I wanted to bring professional women of the community together, in this forum, to connect withone another- to share ideas, to make new acquaintances and to build lasting friendships.”  “The Woodlands has become my home and I wanted to do something good for the women of the community."

Theresa Morgan is originally from Brandywine, Maryland, and moved to Texas in 2006.  Her search for a home brought her to The Woodlands with all the wonderful trees andgreen spaces.  Instantly it was the perfect fit, beautiful tall pines, plenty of parks and walking trails to enjoy with her German shepherd, Dallas.  Theresa joined Devon Aviation at David Wayne Hooks Airport in Spring, Texas.  She is responsible for Cessna single-engine aircraft sales in thegreater Houston territory.  In addition to flying, Theresa is passionate about giving back to the community.  She serves as a Big Sister in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, and is rewarded every time she shares time withher Little Sister, Emma.  Her love for animals led her to the Humane Society of Montgomery County where she volunteers as an adoption counselor, helping homeless pets find new loving forever homes.  For the last twoyears, Theresa has walked in the 2 day Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.  This new tradition has become an annual occurrence in her life. When Pawn suggested bringing Woman and Wine onWednesdays to The Woodlands, Theresa was immediately onboard!  She couldn’tthink of a better way to  meet other professional women making a difference in their world and community. We hope to see you soon!
